Description

This OTPS is used to determine the problem with a stabilator amplifier and after repair or manufacture of the stabilator amplifier to assure it meets the design requirements and is functioning properly.

The SCATS Stabilator Amplifier Test Platform is used to troubleshoot Stabilator Amplifiers PNs 70902-02001-047 and -048, PN 70902-85200-043, and PNs 70902-22001-042, -044, and -046.

The Stabilator Amplifier OTPS provides:

• End-to-end testing of the stabilator amplifier
• Individual testing of the 5 CCAs within the stabilator amplifier
• Testing as required by DMWR 11-6615-306

In addition to identifying faults at the circuit card assembly level, the test platform also: Provides complete instructions for test setup and procedures. Indicates Pass or Fail for all tests. Generates reports (in HTML format) that can be viewed, saved, and printed by the user. Includes a self-test to verify that all hardware is functioning properly.

The SCATS Stabilator Amplifier Test Platform is operated using the ULTRAX SCATS (Software Configurable All-purpose Test Set). The SCATS is a compact PCI-based platform that is driven by the Windows-based software. By simulating aircraft and component characteristics, the SCATS quickly and accurately verifies proper operation of system components in a cost-effective manner. The SCATS can be used to pre-screen line-replaceable units, thereby reducing the number of no-fault-found units that enter the depot system. In the depot, SCATS can diagnose, repair, and validate component operation before returning it to the system.
